What do you need to know?
The Frameo picture frame is a Wi‑Fi–enabled digital photo frame that displays rotating images uploaded directly from your phone. Instead of printing photos or constantly updating physical frames, Frameo allows you to share memories instantly and effortlessly. Sometimes my child sits in front of our frameo and watches the rotation of family photos, getting excited when they see a family member they’re particularly fond of. It melts my heart!
- Sizes: 7 inch, 10.1 inch and 15.6 inch, all wall mountable or free standing.
- Storage: 16GB and 32 GB storage for more recent models of 10.1 inch and 15.6 inch frames but older 8GB storage models may be available for 7 inch and 10.1 inch frames. The frame storage can also be expanded with a microSD up to 32GB.
- Screen: Touchscreen with clock and weather features, can also be displayed in landscape or portrait mode.
- Offline compatibility: Once photos have been uploaded they can continue being shown offline if disconnected from Wi-Fi, but Wi-Fi is needed to upload new photos from the app. You can also use a USB or MicroSD (depending on your frame model) to import photos onto the frame without Wi-Fi.

Frameo works through a free mobile app, available on both iOS and Android. Once the frame is connected to Wi‑Fi, uploading photos takes just seconds.
Here’s how it works in steps:
- Set up the Frameo picture frame and connect it to Wi‑Fi
- Download the Frameo app on your phone
- Invite family members or friends to share photos through a code generated by the frame (optional). Note that this code has an expiry period so if a family member doesn’t use the code right away, they will need a new code when they decide to join your frame album.
- Send photos directly from your phone to the frame

I particularly like the feature that only the owner of the frame can see the full album of every photo any member has sent, so there’s an element of privacy between the people with access to the frames album. People who don’t own the frame can’t see eachothers photos.
